James Bond's Spectre Aston Martin Heads for Auction

If you happen to have a few million in Aussie dollars to spare and you’re looking for the coolest investment, then look no further ; James Bond’s Aston Martin DB10, which we know was made specially for SPECTRE is heading to Christie’s Auction House on 18th February 2016.

Yep, the luxury DB10 goes on the Christie’s auction block where it is expected to fetch $US1.5 million ($A2.15 million).

What makes the car special is of course  that it was one of 10 designed by Aston Martin for the James bond spy film, but this particular one was never used in any of the action sequences. Instead, it was retained to be used as a display vehicle for the London premiere at the Royal Albert Hall last October. For that reason alone, this is only one of three that survived the film and the only one in pristine, undamaged condition.

This is also the only DB10 to be released for public sale and includes a special plaque signed by Daniel Craig (Spectre’s 007) plus a host of special features and inclusions as we reported here.

The Aston Martin DB10 will be the centre piece of a SPECTRE Sale that includes another 10 items from the film, including James Bond’s Omega watch and the cufflinks by Tom Ford he wore with most black tuxedo scenes.

Medecins sans Frontieres (MSF) and the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS), will be beneficiaries of proceeds from the sales.

Daniel Craig’s role in promoting UNMAS since being appointed as the United Nations’ first global advocate for the elimination of mines and explosives in April, 2015 was strong influence on that decision.
