Sydney 10/03/13; Two of the Top Gear Uk trio visited Sydney over the weekend for what was the largest auto festival this town has seen in a long time!
Jeremy Clarkson and James May team up with the short lived Australian version hosts, Steve Pizzati and Shane Jacobson to deliver a full action packed Saturday and Sunday.
Although some stunts were doomed to failure (the 15 tonne earth mover racing a V8 Supercar for instance), and others were a little predictable (Mark Webber’s F1GP racer against Whincup’s V8 Supercar and Casey Stoner’s Superbike for instance), some were quite funny and entertaining (Olympic champion hurdler Michelle Jenekke running against Clarkson in a GT-R for instance) !
Without doubt, the most genuinely entertaining though, was the car soccer event ! Here we saw Clarkson and May team up against Pizzati and Jacobsen in three wheel cars to play soccer with a giant ball. In the end Australia won 3 – 2 which is an added bonus to the spectacle of the game.
There was even a Stig driving laps in his Mclaren MP12-C !
