– Press Release
MERCEDES BENZ has given fans a sneaky look at what their 2013-specification E-Class AMG road-going weapon will look like – and it looks tough.
It’s a strong visual clue as to what the privately-entered Erebus Motorsport E-Class AMG will look like when it is unveiled by the outfit soon, the race car expected to take strong visual clues from the road-going weapon when it is shown off for the first time.
The revised E-Class features a heavily revised front end treatment plus a more aggressive aero kit.
We’d suggest that if V8 Supercars fans with imagination add in a rear wing, the control 18” V8 Supercar wheels and Dunlop slick tyres, they will be a long way to picturing what the race-specification version will look like..
Erebus Motorsport owner Betty Kilmenko confirmed in a recent Facebook post that the team was working towards a Sydney-launch of their cars prior to the Official V8 Supercars pre-season test day, in mid-February.
The team is yet to finalise its race-going aerodynamics package that will require it to match the Ford, Holden and Nissan packages already developed for Car of the Future.
Sydney fans will be the first to see all four brands hit the circuit together for the first time on Saturday, February 16, at Sydney Motorsport Park.
Admission to the official Pre-Season test is free.
