At the Royal Oak in Double Bay last night, rowers from the University of Technology were celebrating an awards night when they noticed that Australia’s Prime Minister, Tony Abbott also happened to be there.
As you’d expect, things got a little rowdy with calls for the PM to skol a schooner of beer ; to which, the PM obliged downing the schooner in a matter of a few seconds.
Of course Tony Abbott isn’t the only Australian prime minister to have succumbed to that type of peer pressure. It’s quite well known that in 2012 Bob Hawke skolled a beer at the Sydney Cricket Grounds .
In fact, Mr Hawke currently holds the world record for skolling; a record he broke whilst at Oxford University in 1954.
