Playboy has revealed today that Pamela Anderson will appear on their January cover which is the last nude version of the magazine.
Playboy announced last month that their content was to change to be Non-Nude from early in 2016, so this edition will be the last that contains nude photography. This is of course a major departure for Playboy who has been a Nude magazine since the founder, Hugh Hefner launched the first edition in 1953 with nude photos of Marilyn Monroe (nude then meaning just topless).
For 48 year old actress and ex Baywatch Beauty Pamela Anderson though, this cover will be her 14th to date and her 15th pictorial (meaning one pictorial was not for cover).
Not meaning to cause embarrassment for her kids though, Pamela felt the need to consult with her 19 yr old son Brandon, to ensure that she had his support.
‘I said, “Hef just called, he wants me to do the last cover of Playboy,” and he goes, “Mom you’ve got to do it,”‘ Pamela told Entertainment Tonight.
After 15 pictorials, you would imagine that Pamela has spent a long time in the Mansion and her relationship with the Magazine goes way back.
Asked about her memories, Pamela made this revelation ;
‘I don’t want to get too detailed, but I’m sure one of my sons was conceived there.’
In fact Pamela’s first shoot was in 1989 at the height of her acting career, and she recalls being quite nervous.
‘The photographer shot me in one roll of film because I was nervous and throwing up,’ she says.
‘But then I saw the pictures, and from there it was hard to keep my clothes on! I was painfully shy before, but then it clicked in my head that nobody cares what you look like naked except you. People are more concerned about themselves and their own flaws.’
