Driverless Bus Trial in Australia

Driver-less Buses may soon be a reality on Australian roads if a trial in Western Australia completes successfully.

Transport Minister Dean Nalder said that the trial will take place in a private driving center initially, however the plan is for the shuttle to take to Perth roads as soon as the trial completes.

The bus itself is a small shuttle that is fully electric and totally driverless. It is developed by French company NAVYA SAS and is capable of a maximum speed of 45km/h with a maximum of 15 passengers on-board.
