It’s not every day that you see a Super Car or a Hyper Car come up for public sale. And there’s a clear reason for that; generally the type of buyer that would afford to purchase a hyper/super car is the type that usually holds onto them, and for that reason, that type of buyer is not in the general public so these vehicles are sold by internal brokerage or on demand and built as a one off.

A perfect example is the Lamborghini Veneno! The Lamborghini factory at Santa Agata in Italy, made only THREE of these super coupes to be available for sale. At the time, each of which sold for around $AUD5 million and there were no further made after that.

Now we learn that one of these is up for sale, and as exciting as that is to see, it’s interesting that the price tag is positioned at almost $AUD10.5 million.

Of course you don’t have to be a math genius to work out that’s double the original selling price.

Still, to be fair, there was one other Veneno listed on Mobile.de with an even more whopping $AUD14.3 million price tag.

This one pictured in this article is therefore the second to be listed on the same site and has probably been `discounted’ for a quicker sale.

This one is marked as being a little more special; it is reported as the first of the three made at the Santa Agata, and it only has 100 kilometers on the odometer.

The current owner is asking €7.1 million, which is equivalent to nearly $USD8 million or $AUD10.4 million at current conversion.

It’s interesting to note that the Lamborghini Aventador, which is what the Veneno is based on after all, is a fraction of the price being asked for these special series coupes.

It will be interesting to see how long these cars both sit on the site for sale, which one get’s sold first and what the final price is post negotiations.

But honestly, if you really wanted one of these cars, I’m sure that Lamborghini would build a variant to your exact personalized requirements for a fraction of that price!

Perhaps if that doesn’t work, they can list it on eBay 🙂
